The sonic possibilities are endless. The V2 Jekyll & Hyde pedal features redesigned noise reduction and improved mid control on the Hyde channel, plus additional low-drive range on the Jekyll channel.

I've got the red metal version and am luke-warm about it. The jekyll side is intended to sound like a TS-808 and it does an decent job. The hyde side will get pretty over the top distortion, but I don't particularly care for it by itself though it sounds decent when stacked with the jekyll side. You can get the thing to feed back pretty easily as well. I ended up just building a TS808 clone and pulling it off of my board to save space. Haven't had much luck selling mine - I don't think they're considered 'cool' at the moment. Click to expand.OK, show me a TS that isn't boring I think those that find this pedal hard to use, or bland, or whatever you want to call it are the same people who may think you can play metal with your strat and tiny 15 watt fender.
The Jeyll side is nothing more than a TS with more volume and the ability to allow all the bass to come in. No difference whatsoever. The Hyde side is voiced like a Marshall guv'nor, so yes, it is compressed, saturated, etc, because that is the point. It is a decent medium gain distortion. As for build quality, I have V2, and I am sure the only pedals that could possibly outlast it would be a boss pedal, other than that nothing really comes even close to the build quality.
Jekyll And Hyde Pedal Review
Maybe visual sound should charge twice as much for these pedals so that some find them useful, or appealing to the crowd willing to pay 100s for an original or handwired 808. I had the V1 red one when they came out - I think it´s one of the only pedals I have sold within a week of buying it. I remember taking it to a gig with me to try it out, playing half an intro with it an soundcheck, then deciding to sell it the next day. The TS side is a TS - in better or worse.

The heavier side is horribly fizzy and transistor-like thin. I didn´t like it at all. Then again, I know a lot of local pro players who use it as a part of their rig and sound real good. So it may just take some time to make it sound right.
