Suggestions? Research is probably the most important aspect in the game. Always be looking to upgrade techs as often as you can.

Rush to get to astrophysics and level 4 impulse drive to be able to make colony ships to colonize more planets so that you can produce more resources. Also make sure to have a good defense on your planet because that will save you a lot of resources from raiders.

Also make sure to protect your fleet from attacks. This means that is you know that you will be away from your computer for lets say 8 hours, send your fleet on a mission that will take 8 hours. This way if you get raided by another fleet on your planet your fleet wont be destroyed with it. Also one thing about this game is that there will always be people that are better than you and have bigger fleets than you much like any free to play game. But there is a system in OGame called honor points that balances that out. On the galaxy screen you will see player is red that are strong players and players in green that are noob players.

Noob players are players that are much lower in rank and you cant attack and vice versa for strong but you can attack them but good luck because they may wreck you if you attack them. Players around your level will get you honor points and will give you good loot. This way the game protects you from getting destroyed by players that are much better than you. But make sure you have a good defense and you shouldn't be attacked too much. Just PM me if you have any more questions!
